Safety approach

Stop honestly when software does not know.

Cost Plus PT uses narrow scope, fixed rules, visible uncertainty, and user control. Those safeguards limit the product; they do not make it medical care or prove an exercise is appropriate. The layers below govern the movement side; the workout and food logs sit outside them and are covered on the tracking page.

Emergency boundary

Do not use this app to assess an emergency or decide whether to delay care. If you may have an emergency, contact local emergency services.

01

Scope before content

Each published guide states what it covers, what it does not cover, and which questions should stop a self-guided flow. Research-only topics never silently become account plans.

02

Fixed stop rules

Authored rules—not open-ended AI—can stop intake or hold a session after a reported change. A hold is conservative product behavior, not medical triage or clearance.

03

Visible uncertainty

Camera features preserve “not observed” when visibility is poor. The product does not turn a partial view into a form, diagnosis, symptom, or safety judgment.

04

User-controlled sensors

Camera and microphone access begin only after a user action on the focused session route. Manual controls and captions remain available without either sensor.

05

Private by design

Routine admin pages exclude session, camera, voice, and message content. Account export, session controls, and deletion remain user-controlled.

06

No hidden clinician

No clinician reviews or monitors accounts, answers, sessions, messages, or alerts. Support can help operate the product, not interpret health information.

When something changes

The product pauses; a person chooses the next step.

Inside a session

Stop is always available

Stopping ends the active timer, voice, and camera observer. The session does not resume itself.

Before another session

Review the change

A fixed review can keep a safety hold in place or clear only the product hold after the user reports the situation has resolved. It never gives medical clearance.

Outside the app

Use qualified help when needed

The app may display general seek-care information, but it cannot assess urgency, provide reassurance, or determine the appropriate professional or service.

Report a concern

Product and security questions have real destinations.

Use product support for account or software operation. Security researchers can use the published disclosure policy. Neither channel is monitored as an emergency or clinical service.
